Types of hand winches

As we said above, drum and lever devices are the most popular. They do an excellent job with their task, although some difficulties may arise with lowering the load, but they are quite solvable.

Lever winches are generally among the most inexpensive. They are easy to use and maintainable.

And what is important - in the process of work, it is not necessary to fix the lever winches on the supporting surface, although there is such a possibility.

The design consists of several main elements: a drum on which a steel cable is wound, a gearbox, a metal body and a lever. A steel cable with a hook is also used.

There are two main types of lifting devices - with a worm gear and gear. There are also winches with one and two speed modes.

First of all, we cut off four strips of thick metal, and we weld the body of a homemade device from them.
